YP_2

Michael Kline, Jaimie Crawford and Katelyn Lundblad are working together to engage all MWV YP’s to collaborate on issues important to them.

The MWV Young Professionals and Leadership MWV alumni are making a place for young professional to network outside of regular meeting places. Planning to launch a series of new events to support the community of young professionals, the group will start with a two-part Life Balance Success Workshop in March and April, featuring the valley’s own acclaimed success trainer Michael Kline.

“The YP network is looking for energizing and interesting activities to engage the vital and booming young professionals already living and working here”, says Jaimie Crawford, administrative assistant for the Leadership MWV program of the MWV Chamber of Commerce.

This is not just ANOTHER network for only professionals, but also an initiative to tap into all the 20, 30 and 40 something’s who live here. “Sometimes, people from service or retail industries think the work professional means you need to be an accountant or attorney to join, but in reality it is the person who themselves as professional, not the job they do,” explains YP President Katelyn Lundblad. “We are looking to grow our network of professional and emerging professionals of all industries who value our mission, which is to create a network for developing professionals, providing opportunities for mentorship, for community involvement and support for civic leadership.”

The first event this year will be the two part workshops focusing on more effective goal setting in a balanced way, overcoming fears and other self-limiting beliefs, practical methods of taking focused action to achieving goals, staying positive and being a valuable member of groups, family, work and community. Having the workshop broken into two events will allow participants to begin to apply the lessons in their life and return in April to learn the next steps and have their initial challenges and roadblocks addressed. The workshop dates are March 20th and April 17th from 8:30am- 12 Noon at the green Granite Inn, registration is required. The cost is just $45 for both sessions, which is a $100 savings from the regular price of this workshop. Register by calling 603 356-5701 ext. 304.
